Introduced in 1942 for the transport of Sherman tanks, the 50T bogie Warwell wagon continued to see service after the end of the Second World War. This is the original vehicle as designed and built. With limited securing points on the wooden deck, diamond bogies and chains, ready for collecting the important loads - initially Sherman tanks - and moving them from the Ports on the West down to the Armouries and training grounds near the South coast.
